鈴木香織（1981年、新潟生まれ）は、絵画と版画の領域を往還しながら、音楽・文学・精神的探求を根底に据えた独自の抽象表現を切り拓いてきた現代美術家です。女子美術大学で基礎を培い、武蔵野美術大学大学院で造形学を修めた後、独学で絵画に没入した彼女の軌跡は、東京での初個展（2006年）を起点に、ドイツやスイスをはじめとする国際的な舞台へと広がっていきました。
本展「堆積する夢」では、鮮烈な色彩と濃密な線が織りなすリズム、そして絵肌に刻まれた層が、まるで時間の堆積や記憶の沈殿を映し出すかのように立ち上がります。作品群は、円環や格子、うねりを伴う形態が絡み合い、見る者を複数の時空へと誘います。それはジャズの即興演奏のように、秩序と逸脱、沈黙と響きのあいだを自在に往復しながら、新たな視覚的音楽を奏でているかのようです。
近年の抽象絵画の潮流においても、鈴木の作品は「知覚の堆積」として注目すべき位置を占めています。即物的なマテリアル感と、個人の夢や記憶という内的風景が交錯するその世界は、私たちが「見る」という行為そのものの複雑さと豊かさを鮮明に示しています。
Kaori Suzuki Solo Exhibition: “Accumulated Dreams”
Kaori Suzuki (b. 1981, Niigata, Japan) is a contemporary artist working across painting and printmaking, whose practice is deeply influenced by music, literature, and spiritual inquiry. After her studies at Joshibi University of Art and Design and Musashino Art University Graduate School, she pursued painting independently, establishing her voice through abstraction. Since her first solo exhibition in Tokyo (2006), Suzuki has steadily expanded her presence to international stages, particularly in Germany and Switzerland.
In “Accumulated Dreams,” Suzuki presents works where vibrant color fields and intricate lines intertwine, layering like sediment—traces of time and memory made visible. Circular forms, lattice-like grids, and rhythmic undulations converge to create a dynamic visual field, one that resonates much like an improvisational jazz performance: oscillating between order and disruption, silence and resonance, until they coalesce into a visual symphony.
Within the broader discourse of contemporary abstraction, Suzuki’s practice embodies a distinctive exploration of perception and memory. Her canvases simultaneously confront materiality and evoke interior landscapes, reminding us that the act of seeing itself is layered, fluid, and infinitely rich.
